Kim and Scott nervously watched the weather forecasts all week, tracking Hurricane Irene’s path up the east coast. They were blessed – It just missed our region! They chose the beautiful Nesselrod on the New River in Radford, Virginia and said their vows next to the gazebo. Their friends and families enthusiastically took to the dance floor afterwards and had a hilarious time. Their wedding had a firefly theme with hand painted programs and table cards, along with mason jars filled with glowing fireflies. Each guest received a packet of Kim’s famous pretzel dip which she religiously prepares for every Virginia Tech football tailgate party. These diehard hokies love their football so much a toast was given during the reception for a great upcoming season!
