For the third year in a row, owner Shaena Muldoon of Palisades Restaurant held the annual Celebrity Chef Tour benefiting the James Beard Foundation. As usual, tickets sold out very quickly and the restaurant was packed! This year, not one but five chefs created some amazing appetizers and main courses. The chefs were Ashton Carter of the Palisades, Jennifer Carroll, Barton Seaver, Mike Isabella, and Dana Herbert. I even tasted my very first duck heart which was surprisingly good! Other items on the menu included oysters on the half shell, lamb, sweetbreads, beef cheeks, beef carpaccio, sea urchin tapioca, trout, and bacon ice cream. I think the dessert was my absolute favorite with that ice cream in a candied shell, along with carmelized apples on toast topped with more bacon. 🙂
