Kung Pao Christmas

Being 38 weeks pregnant, my husband and I decided it would be a good idea to spend Christmas at home, relax, and skip the traveling. I can only imagine how different Christmas in 2013 will be with a 1-year old! To mix it up, we made an unusual Christmas dinner, Kung Pao Chicken & Noodles from scratch and it consisted of over 40 ingredients! First there was the marinade for the chicken, then the making of the kung pao sauce, and the chopping of lots of vegetables for the stir fry with noodles. And last, we topped it off with a fried egg and chowed down. For something traditional, I did make some molasses cookies which disappeared pretty fast! I hope you all had a wonderful Christmas!

    • adminIt took two days because of the marinade but probably 2-3 hours total with all the chopping and prep time! It was worth it though! 🙂ReplyCancel
