Shannon and Chris met through friends and it was on a ski trip that they really hit it off. Chris later proposed with a custom ring using an aquamarine stone from Shannon’s great grandmother and diamonds from his mother. The number 11 has always been a lucky number for Chris through the years so January 11, 2014 was their chosen wedding date. The ceremony took place at St. Jude’s Catholic Church in Radford and the reception at the German Club Manor in Blacksburg, Virginia. Chris has a love for racing cars so Shannon found some custom cufflinks with an odometer and gas gauge! Shannon loves to bake so for the reception she made a gorgeous chocolate groom’s cake with the cutest blue race car topper. The talent doesn’t stop there, Shannon’s Maid of Honor, Stefanie, made the wedding cake from scratch too! And Shannon’s Mom, Lisa, put together all of the bouquets and flower arrangements! The day turned out amazing even though it rained, though the sun did peak out at the end of the day so we ran outside for a few more pictures!
