An Eastern Shore Thanksgiving

When you wake up on Thanksgiving morning on the eastern shore and step outside, you are very likely to hear constant gunshots. That is because this is one of the most popular days for the men to go goose hunting. Waking up at 4:30 in the morning with coffee in hand, they head out to the fields to hide in custom built blinds and pits surrounded by plastic decoys. After retrieving their limit, 2 geese per person, they head back home to have Thanksgiving dinner with family. Before dinner, I stopped over to take a few pictures of the action. There will be goose stroganoff in our future!
