Caroline & Jeremy Married | Rockwood Manor Dublin Virginia Wedding Photography

Caroline and Jeremy have known each other since they were 17 years old and now their family consists of two adorable french mastiffs, Hamilton and Penny. Penny was the latest addition when Jeremy proposed and surprised Caroline with her and a ring! Their ceremony and reception took place in the barn at Rockwood Manor in Dublin, Virginia. I loved how the barn looked with all of the string lighting and white paper flower balls. Hamilton and Penny made their appearance on the favor tags which was one of Caroline and Jeremy’s engagement session images! My favorite moment was when Caroline and Jeremy had their first look and it brought tears to Caroline’s eyes! The irish dancing and twirling was pretty great too!

Molly is just about to finish up her senior year at Blacksburg High School and will soon be heading to Virginia Tech to pursue a career in writing. Along with writing, Molly loves riding horses and even competes in a special kind of equestrian discipline called dressage, essentially ballet on horseback! For her senior session, we went to Harmony Hills Equestrian Center in Pembroke, Virginia, a place Molly has been riding since she was 7 years old. Her beautiful white horse, What’s Up Doc, came along for the shoot too!

Brooke just celebrated her 1st birthday and for this session, her family visited Doe Creek Farm in Pembroke, Virginia. Brooke must have a country side because she loved running around the farm and exploring everything she could find! Her last outfit had to be the cutest with all of the lace, ruffles, and her own little bouquet!

While at a bar with friends, Alena spotted Matt and really liked his plaid shirt so she went over to tell him so and introduce herself. They immediately hit it off and recently, Matt proposed to Alena in France at 1 o’clock in the morning and of course she said yes! Now the big day is planned for this coming August at Smithfield Plantation. For their engagement session, we went to a field in Blacksburg blooming with yellow flowers. These two had so much fun together playing in the field and even practicing their dance moves for that big first dance coming up!

Just last summer I photographed Danielle and Phillip’s wedding and I was so excited when they asked me to photograph their newborn son, Liam! He is such a cutie and his absolute favorite spot to be is in his Mom and Dad’s arms. He also loves to make little fists with his hands! He is already a big West Virginia University football fan and has his own jersey. My absolute favorite from this session has to be the smile we caught!

Lindsay just turned 5 weeks old and she has the most beautiful head of hair I have ever seen! She absolutely loved just lying on the rug and I think she really enjoyed her nap too. Lindsay also got to experience life in a hammock out in the sun and I think she could have stayed there all day!

Kristen and Chris didn’t let a rainy wedding day ruin the opportunity for outdoor newlywed photographs. A week after the big day, they got all dressed up again and we found a pretty field of yellow flowers complete with mountain views! Chris also brought along his green army truck which I LOVED and looked so awesome parked in the middle of the field! We also mixed in a bridal session as well and next up will be a trash the dress session on jet skis this summer. I can’t wait to see that!

Charmaine & Isaac Married | Clover Forest Plantation Goochland Virginia Wedding Photography

Isaac was checking out an online dating site one day, came across Charmaine’s profile, and was immediately interested in meeting her. It also turns out that Isaac’s friend knew who she was! One cute thing I learned they love to do is ride a tandem bike together with a hitch on the back so their pit bull can tag along! For the big day, they chose a beautiful plantation house out in Goochland, Virginia, just outside of Richmond called Clover Forest Plantation. They had the most beautiful spring day and I fell in love with the coral and peach colors used in the bouquets, on the tables, and for the bridesmaid dresses. The ceremony was performed by Charmaine’s good friend Lizzie and afterwards a reception was held under a tent full of white lanterns. I loved Charmaine’s father’s speech when he talked about opening a fortune cookie with her Mom that said good news is on its way. The next day they found out they were pregnant with Charmaine! This was one beautiful, classy wedding all around!
