Chesapeake Bay Maritime Museum Wedding

Annie and Andrew celebrated their marriage at one of my favorite venues on the Eastern Shore, the Chesapeake Bay Maritime Museum in St Michaels, Maryland. With rain in the forecast, their ceremony moved into the boat shed, which also happened to be their favorite space. It turned out beautifully with warm string lights, rustic wood, and historic boats surrounding the room.

Their Jewish celebration began with the ketubah signing, witnessed by close family and the bridal party. Guests wore dusty blue yarmulkes, and Annie and Andrew were wrapped Andrew’s grandfather’s tallit during the ceremony, adding such a meaningful and personal touch.

Just before the rain arrived, we slipped out onto the docks for portraits, capturing a few quiet moments before the evening festivities began. The reception took place under a stunning sailcloth tent filled with dusty blue tones and soft accents of peach and blush. A fun detail throughout the reception was a captain’s hat placed on select chairs and tables, with guests taking turns wearing them, which brought so much energy and laughter to the night.

The dance floor was full from the start, especially during the hora, which is always a highlight. The night ended with a romantic last dance, surrounded by their guests waving ribbon wands, creating the perfect final moment to an unforgettable celebration.
