Tom & Kate’s Sunset Sailboat Elopement on Lady Patty | St. Michaels, Maryland

Tom & Kate got engaged on July 14th twenty years ago, and after years of joking with family and friends that they’d get married on a Tuesday, they did exactly that. On Tuesday, July 14th, they exchanged vows aboard the historic 1935 ketch Lady Patty with St. Michaels Sailing Charters, surrounded by the peaceful waters of the Chesapeake Bay.

As the evening unfolded, mother nature added an unforgettable touch. Smoke drifting south from the Canadian wildfires painted the sky with warm golden and deep red hues, creating a sunset unlike any other. The glowing light reflected across the water, giving their intimate ceremony a backdrop that felt almost surreal.

With the sails up, the breeze at their backs, and two decades of memories leading to this moment, Tom & Kate began their next adventure exactly the way they always imagined—together.

Congratulations, Tom & Kate! Thank you for allowing me to capture such a meaningful day. Wishing you both a lifetime of love, laughter, and fair winds.
