Brittany and Blake first met on a blind date in Pennsylvania, set up by a friend who turns out is a perfect matchmaker! These two both have very busy schedules with Brittany in medical school to become an obstetrician and Blake a pilot for the Army and American Airlines, but they still find time together hiking, kayaking, and attending sporting events. When Blake decided to propose, he arranged a flight for the two of them to visit her family in Virginia and had already asked her brothers for their permission. After landing, he handed Brittany the landing checklist and had her read through the items. At the bottom of the list he added “engagement complete” and when she read this, Blake was on his knee with a beautiful diamond ring! A yes was quickly heard and now a destination wedding is planned for January in sunny Mexico! I met up with these two recently in Old Town Alexandria for some engagement pictures before the big day. I am beyond excited to document this sweet couple’s wedding day in Mexico!
