I LOVE WEDDINGS!

Weddings are still my absolute favorite to document even today after 19 years in the business! I love telling the story of each couples day and capturing unique personalities, expressions, and moments. I also love to use a bit of fine art photography techniques with flash skills I have learned over the years. Afterwards, I want you and your family and friends to look through your gallery and relive the day through the images!

Below are galleries highlighting some of my favorite wedding images. I have broken down images into the categories showing all of the major events that happen throughout the day. Keep scrolling for blog wedding stories and frequently asked questions!

What is the typical cost of wedding photography packages?

Wedding packages for 2024 start at $4,300 for the Eastern Shore of Maryland and Annapolis locations. Please email me for pricing in other areas and I will be happy to provide a minimal travel fee. The basic package includes 8 hours of coverage, usb with edited high resolution images, and an online gallery site. Engagement sessions, albums, and print options are available as a la carte items.

Where are you based?

I am based out of St. Michaels, Maryland on the eastern shore where I grew up. In addition to Maryland, I am available for weddings in Virginia, DC, Pennsylvania, Delaware and beyond. During the winter months, you can often find me sailing in the Bahamas where I am available for destination wedding photography. I also travel all over the world for photography assignments and have photographed destination weddings in Mexico and the Dominican Republic, both amazing experiences!

What is your style?

I consider myself a documentary photographer for the majority of your event with some fine art photography using flash techniques later in the evening. I capture those wonderful expressions and moments that you, your family and guests make on one of the most happiest days of your life. The family formal and bridal party groupings are a more traditional style. If we are indoors or when the sun has set, I love to do some fine art photography using artistic flash techniques I have learned over the years. Here are my personal favorites from the 2023 wedding season, 2022 wedding seas on, 2021 wedding season, and 2020 wedding season.

How do I book you for my date?

Once we determine which package you would like, a contract and a 35% deposit is required to book the date. The remaining balance isn’t due until the day before your wedding.

Do you offer videography?

We have teamed with Andover Media to offer a combined photography and videography wedding day package. Please fill out the contact form and a full pricing brochure will be provided. Together we make a great team and have worked together at numerous weddings! Andover Media creates cinematic videography, often with a touch of the countryside, and with 4k video, pro audio/lighting, a drone, and over 100 weddings under their belt. To learn more about Andover Media, please visit their website at www.andovermedia.com.

Do you have an assistant?

For weddings, I hire a second shooter who will also document your event and assist with lighting. Some things the second shooter captures that I cannot are the guys getting ready and the cocktail hour. I am usually photographing the girls getting ready and the formal groupings at those times.

Do I have the rights to use my photos?

Yes, you are free to prints images as you wish and make copies of the files on your USB. They are yours, have fun with them!

When can I expect my images after the wedding?

About 1-2 weeks after the wedding, I publish a blog story with some of my favorite images taken from the day. A few images are also posted on my Facebook page and Instagram page. About 4-6 weeks after your wedding, I will upload all final images onto an online gallery site and email you the link. Feel free to share this link with family and friends and high quality prints can be ordered directly from this site. A USB of all final high resolution and web resolution images will also be mailed to you at this time.

How does the online gallery site work?

The online gallery is an online album of your final wedding images. This is just another way to view your images and to pass them on to family and friends. Prints can also be ordered directly from this site.

What equipment do you use?

My primary cameras are a Canon EOS R5 and R6. I have backups of all equipment that I bring to every wedding or shoot. Other equipment includes 600 EX II flashes, a variety of Canon lenses, Magmod flash equipment, and various accessories.

Do you make albums?

Yes! I offer custom leatherbound albums, a great way to preserve and display your images for future generations to come! These make a great keepsake for the bride and groom and also great gifts for parents. After selecting images, I will custom design spreads which you will be able to review and make any changes before anything goes to print. The base album is a 10x10 size and comes with 20 pages, choice of cover material and a cut out for one image of your choice. Upgrades can be made including additional pages, metallic cover options, engraving, etc.

How do I go about selecting photos for my album?

If you have selected a leatherbound album in your package, I will send along instructions for how to go about choosing images. The base album can fit approximately 75-80 images. The instructions will include the number of photos to select and your preferences for the cover such as photo and materials.

How do we get to the reception on time?

About 3 months before the big day, I will send along an electronic questionnaire for you to complete which outlines the schedule of the day. Once completed, we will schedule a final phone call to run through the details of the day including the time for family formals, bridal party groupings, and the newlywed images before the reception. As a result, the day runs very smoothly and allows for more time interacting with your guests!

What is involved with an engagement session?

An engagement session is a great way to get comfortable in front of the camera and for me to learn more about the two of you! We will talk about locations that a significant to the two of you date availability. Shoots typically last 1 hour and you can feel free to mix up outfits if you would like, one dressy and one casual for example. The images are also perfect for save the dates, custom guest books, and even reception table decor.
